The Danger! exhibition is a fictitious story about aggression evoked by private motoring in a certain woman.

Tervaniemi's latest show plays with media images of women and cars, distorting the dominant gaze and blending moving images with stills.

Sari Tervaniemi (MA, 1999, The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London, Department of Fine Art Media)Sari Tervaniemi's works are about violence and power as they manifest in social relationships and in relation to physical and mental space. She works with short films, videos, video installations and C-prints.

The point of view in Tervaniemi's work can either be wholly subjective or that of a surveillance camera – always observing the details of the scene. Editing in this context is a method for emphasizing the content by bringing out significant details through repetition. The narratives, which are often fragmented, establish a field of possibilities where the viewer can contemplate different interpretations within a given framework. The characters in the works see the scene from an altogether subjective viewpoint and as affected by their personal histories.
