The wind is bending the woman downwards as she walks beside the field. She leans against the wind, her steps determind. Under the mountain slopes are stones lying, scattered around, blown down in the last storm.
A young woman in the coffee shop twists a curl of bleached hair around her finger. Silver jewellery shines matte. Beauty is not for hiding. A party of men wearing suits comes in, ordering coffee macciato, and mineral water for all. Milk froths in the glass. On the side table, empty tea glasses, red and yellow plastic plates resting in the cool, dusky light. An old man orders two pieces of cake, eats with rapid, hungry gestures.
